Alexandra Dewar

Registered Kinesiologist

I am a Registered Kinesiologist with over a decade of experience working in the fitness and healthcare industry.  While working with children I began to appreciate the link between healthy parents and healthy kids.  Since becoming a mom I have begun to see the impact that posture, breath, and body awareness has on our bodies and minds. Since then, I have been on a mission to talk to everyone about pelvic floor functions, the core and how dysfunctions can be treated successfully and even prevented. What started as a passion project is now a full Core Vitality fitness program for new moms in Sudbury that focuses on safely and effectively training the core and pelvic floor.

Céleste Bouffard

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

I fell into this career path like a great majority of pelvic health physiotherapists, by experiencing problems that require its help. Maybe it was my inquisitive mind, maybe it was pure desperation, but I thought – “there must be something that can be done about this.” There was.

By taking the courses required and getting into practice, I have never in my previous ten years of being a physiotherapist, been so captivated and inspired to help my clients, to strive to be more, and to learn more.

My mission is to start the conversation about pelvic issues, and to bring those “taboo” topics out of the dark, so that everyone can live their best life.

I graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. I loved Ottawa. I still love it and return as often as I can. I think I left a little part of me there. But I came back to the Sudbury area because of my strong family bonds.

I started my Pelvic Health education through Pelvic Health Solutions in 2011 under the great minds and great personalities that are Carolyn VanDyken and Nelly Faghani, and many more along the way as I continued my journey.

In January of 2014I finally got to put my knowledge and my passion to practice full time at Lifemark Physiotherapy.

I learn from my clients every day. By sharing in their stories and striving to fully addressing their concerns, I’m constantly looking for the most complete information that will serve them best. And when they have breakthroughs in treatments, eliminate symptoms that they have accepted as normal, and are able to return to activities that they had given up, it is incredibly rewarding. I can’t help but share in their happiness. Its what makes me look forward to going to work every day.
